With its historic air, welcoming atmosphere, and unstinting comforts, the Abalonia is among the most inviting Ogunquit hotels. Additionally, our central Ogunquit location puts guests within exceptionally close walking distance from the beach and downtown shops and restaurants.
How far is the beach, restaurants, and shops from the inn?
The Abalonia is conveniently located in the downtown center of the village. The walk to the beach takes less than five minutes. Similarly, guests will also be able to walk to Ogunquit’s most popular restaurants, pubs and nightclubs, and shops within mere minutes of leaving the hotel’s grounds.
What activities can I enjoy in Ogunquit?
Ogunquit boasts a wealth of activities for nearly any taste. It’s the perfect couple’s retreat but also brims with family-friendly attractions. Enjoy morning excursions to village shops or nearby country clubs for a game of golf, lounge all afternoon on one of Ogunquit’s three beaches, or visit area cultural hotspots like Ogunquit Playhouse or Leavitt Theatre. Ogunquit’s natural charm cannot be overstated; enjoy some of its most breathtaking coastal views while strolling along Marginal Way or hiking to the summit of Mount Agamenticus. Many guests prefer to get out on the water to kayak, fish, or take a whale watching excursion.
Does the Abalonia offer discounts or specials?
The Abalonia occasionally features discounts for stays of five nights or longer for the off-season months of April, May, and October. Please inquire when making your reservation. Additionally, you can sign up for our email list and be the first to be notified of specials.
Does the Abalonia serve breakfast to guests?
The Abalonia is proud to offer complimentary muffins from our local bakery Bread and Roses, which are made fresh daily! We also offer coffee and tea in the office. We are located a short walk from many full-service breakfast locations. Additionally, each guest room has a Keurig coffeemaker with organic coffee pods.
Is the Abalonia open year-round?
The Abalonia is closed during the winter months. We are open from Mid-April to Mid-October every year.
How can I obtain information about hosting a wedding or special event at the inn?
To maintain the relaxing setting the Abalonia is known for, we do not host large events, weddings, or parties.
How far in advance should I make my reservation?
During the peak summer season, the Abalonia operates at full occupancy, so we suggest booking in spring or as soon as possible to ensure you are able to reserve rooms that suit your needs. Many guests book next years stay when they depart the inn. During the offseason, it’s occasionally possible to reserve a room a few days in advance. We always suggest contacting us to check on our current room availability.

Is parking available?
The Abalonia features free on site parking for guests. We have space to accommodate one vehicle per rented room. Staff can help you find additional paid parking if you need space for more than one vehicle.
Is the Abalonia pet friendly?
For the comfort of all of our guests, the Abalonia does not welcome pets at this time. Although we too, love our four-legged friends, we are unable to accommodate them at the inn. Unfortunately, many sites in Ogunquit, including Marginal Way and the beach, are not pet friendly either. Approved ADA service animals are welcome. Service animals are not permitted to be left in the rooms unattended at any time. Emotional Support Pets are not permitted.
Does the Abalonia charge additional rates or fees?
The Abalonia only charges you for your room plus Maine sales tax. We charge no resort fees for our amenities like our saltwater pool which are available for guests to enjoy.
What is the Abalonia cancellation policy?
The Abalonia provides refunds less a $35 cancellation fee per room for any cancellations made at least two weeks in advance of the reservation. Cancellations made less than two weeks in advance are non-refundable. We are also unable to refund for early departure. Bookings made through OTA’s are non-refundable. Guests with concerns regarding Covid 19 should consider purchasing 3rd party travel insurance to cover their stay. A good example would be- www.allianztravelinsurance.com/
Does the Abalonia welcome children?
Abalonia Inn does welcome children; however, we strive to maintain a serene and relaxed atmosphere for guests. Please be considerate of other guests when traveling with young children.
How many guests can my room accommodate?
The Abalonia's rooms are designed for two guests with the exception of our double queen room which can accommodate up to four guests. Unfortunately due to fire code and occupancy restrictions, we cannot have more guests than the room type allows including small children.
Does the Abalonia have a swimming pool or other special features?
The Abalonia boasts a stunning heated saltwater swimming pool, large hot tub, and gas fire pit for guests to enjoy. These amenities are unique to our location in proximity to Ogunquit Village and we happily offer them exclusively to guests of the Abalonia. Please note that our saltwater pool opens Memorial Day weekend and closes beginning of October.
May I request a specific room or floor when I make a reservation?
If booking direct, our staff will do their best to accommodate your wishes. As we have only a certain number of rooms, we unfortunately cannot gurantee specific rooms, only room types when booking.
